Emperor penguins stay
with the colony all their lives.
A rookery is where they raise their young — and where they grow old. The same is true here: the record that runs a household raising a child runs a household caring for a parent.
The same shape
A family employing aides for a parent is the structure Rookery was built for: the day written down as it happens, hours and pay that never surprise anyone, handovers between aides so nothing is lost at shift change, and a fall written up properly rather than remembered differently by everyone.
The same door
Each aide gets their own door code, made for their shift and gone when they stop working — never a house code on a sticky note. And the emergency card opens with no signal and no sign-in: the numbers, the address, what responders will ask.
The same promises
The household holds the record — no ads, no data resale, ever. Safety is never paywalled. An aide never pays to work. And their record of good work is theirs, and travels with them.
Care, in this house, looks like company.
